Experience South Africa in one seamless journey that brings together Cape Town’s creative energy, the drama of the Cape Peninsula, the celebrated estates of the Winelands and the wildlife of the Kruger region. Designed for those who want breadth without sacrificing depth, this complete arc combines the country’s defining experiences with private transfers, expert guidance, hosted encounters and concierge-led ease.

In Cape Town, you discover the stories behind the landmarks. Table Mountain, Bo-Kaap and Robben Island gain greater meaning through expert-led context, while Kirstenbosch, Constantia and the city’s contemporary art, design and food scenes reveal a more nuanced side of the Cape. Beyond the city, Chapman’s Peak leads you along the peninsula towards Cape Point and the penguin colony at Boulders Beach, with the Atlantic setting the rhythm throughout.

Food and wine form a thread across the journey, from Cape Malay cooking and carefully chosen dinners to estate lunches and hosted tastings among the vineyards of Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Paarl. Each experience is selected for its setting, character and sense of place, creating a richer introduction to the Cape’s culinary identity.

Three nights in the Kruger region bring the journey into the wilderness. Expert guides lead morning and afternoon game drives, reading tracks, animal behaviour and the changing light of the bushveld. Between drives, your lodge offers space to slow down, listen and absorb the atmosphere.

Every transfer, reservation and experience is coordinated around your pace and interests, with carefully chosen upgrades available throughout. From the summit of Table Mountain to a distant roar before sunrise, this is South Africa experienced with depth, ease and a powerful sense of place.

Itinerary

Cape Town brings together powder-white beaches, celebrated wine routes, dramatic mountain trails and one of Africa’s most cosmopolitan city centres. Over six days, you experience the city through its landscapes, history, food and contemporary culture. Table Mountain reveals the scale of the peninsula, while Bo-Kaap and Robben Island bring greater context to the Cape’s layered past. Along the coast, Chapman’s Peak leads towards Cape Point and Boulders Beach, where African penguins gather beside the sheltered waters of False Bay. Kirstenbosch, the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa and carefully selected dining experiences complete a varied but intentionally paced introduction to the Cape.

Nestled in a fertile valley surrounded by the rugged peaks of the Cape Winelands, Franschhoek is an elegant heritage village located approximately 75 kilometres east of Cape Town. Known as South Africa’s food and wine capital, it combines a rich French Huguenot heritage with a relaxed countryside atmosphere. Visitors can explore acclaimed estates producing Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and exceptional Cap Classique sparkling wines, often travelling between vineyards aboard the popular wine tram. Tree-lined streets, historic Cape Dutch architecture, and boutique galleries add to the village’s charm. Summer brings opportunities for hiking and cycling through lush farmland, while winter invites cosy cellar tastings and the acclaimed annual literary festival. The scent of vineyards carried on the breeze, paired with sweeping views of green valleys and dramatic mountain backdrops, creates a refined yet welcoming year-round destination for food, wine, and culture enthusiasts.

Wine estates visited will vary from tour to tour as everyone has their own preference in wine. Your guide will discuss all options with you and select the best suitable wine estates to visit in the Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch region. The tastings will include high quality (and often award winning) red and white wines.

Sharing an unfenced border with the world-renowned Kruger National Park, Sabi Sand Nature Reserve is one of Africa’s most prestigious safari destinations and was the first private game reserve established in South Africa. Spanning 65,000 hectares of pristine wilderness, the reserve encompasses rolling savannah, Lowveld woodlands, seasonal riverbeds, watering holes and the perennial Sabi and Sand rivers. Renowned for its exceptional wildlife viewing, Sabi Sand offers some of the best opportunities in Africa to encounter the Big Five, particularly its famous leopard population, as well as cheetah, giraffe, zebra and numerous antelope species. Visitors can enjoy unforgettable game drives, guided bush walks and magical evenings beneath star-filled skies. Combined with some of South Africa’s most luxurious safari lodges, Sabi Sand delivers an unrivalled blend of wilderness, exclusivity and world-class hospitality.

Experience the pulse of the bush with dawn game drives and lodge time.  Enjoy private sundowners at sunset and search for nocturnal animals like hyenas, aardvarks, bush babies, genet cats and mongoose.  Where permitted, a thrilling off-road big-cat tracking experience awaits.

The final morning begins slowly in the bush, with breakfast at the lodge and time to absorb the atmosphere before leaving the reserve.

Your private transfer carries you to the appropriate regional airport for the scheduled flight to Johannesburg. On arrival, we coordinate your onward connection or private transfer according to your international departure arrangements.
