Experience Colombia as a journey through contrast, reinvention, and living heritage. This is not a route built only around famous places; it is designed around the reasons those places matter — connecting the Caribbean coast, mountain cities, coffee country, the capital, and the Amazon in a way that feels vivid, textured, and emotionally complete.

Across 19 days, we take you through Colombia’s most distinctive landscapes and cultural worlds with private guiding, considered pacing, and every key detail quietly handled in the background. Each chapter reveals something deeper beneath the beauty: the history held inside Cartagena’s walls, the creative energy of Medellín, the craft and patience behind the coffee, the symbolism of Bogotá’s gold, and the living intelligence of the rainforest.

The journey moves from human-made elegance to elemental nature, from colonial streets to cloud forest, from street murals to pre-Hispanic treasure, from music-filled plazas to the silence of flooded Amazon channels. Colombia is not presented as one mood or one postcard. It is revealed through rhythm, altitude, memory, flavour, resilience, and landscape.

This is a journey for those who want Colombia to feel rich, layered, and fully alive. Premium, immersive, and full of colour, movement, texture, and discovery, it is designed not just to show Colombia’s variety, but so you can feel the force of its transformation, beauty, and soul.

Itinerary

The journey begins in Cartagena, where your private arrival sets the tone for three nights of Caribbean colour, colonial romance, and coastal rhythm. Settle into the walled city or a nearby character-rich neighbourhood, where sun-washed façades, flower-draped balconies, courtyard dining, and music-filled streets create one of Latin America’s most atmospheric openings.

With a local expert, step inside Cartagena’s UNESCO-listed old town for a masterclass in living history. Colonial ramparts, elegant plazas, bougainvillea balconies, horse-drawn carriages, salsa drifting through the streets, and sunset cocktails on centuries-old walls make the city feel cinematic, stylish, and irresistibly photogenic. The guided experience continues into Getsemaní, where mural-lined streets, Afro-Caribbean culture, neighbourhood life, and creative energy reveal a more local, expressive side of the city. A hosted music or champeta experience connects Cartagena’s rhythm to its Caribbean identity. The chapter closes with a private boat day to the Rosario Islands, shaped around clear water, snorkelling, beach time, and a relaxed seafood or paella-style lunch by the Caribbean.

From Cartagena, your driver takes you along the Caribbean coast toward Santa Marta, where the setting shifts into jungle-edge lodges, rivers, coastal vegetation, and mountain-backed nature. This chapter is built around a guided Tayrona and Sierra Coast experience, with routing selected according to access, season, safety, and guest energy. A naturalist guide introduces rainforest trails, birdlife, river scenery, beach or cove access, and the ecological significance of the Sierra Nevada, with lodge-based meals and softer evening pacing.

A coordinated transfer and domestic flight carry the journey from Colombia’s Caribbean coast into Medellín, where a boutique city base introduces the Andean chapter. A community-led Comuna 13 experience introduces the city through mural art, music, local enterprise, Metrocable views, and public-space transformation, while a privately arranged Guatapé day brings colour, lake scenery, El Peñol, zócalo-lined streets, and a water-view lunch. The chapter also gives Medellín a slower contemporary layer through food, coffee, creative neighbourhoods, and a curated dinner before the journey continues into the Coffee Triangle.

The Coffee Triangle slows the journey into Colombia’s mountain interior, with a hacienda, finca, or design-led nature retreat forming the base for four days of landscape, flavour, and countryside rhythm. A guided Cocora Valley experience introduces wax palms, cloud forest routes, Salento or a quieter village stop, and a picnic or countryside lunch arranged around the day’s route. A finca host then leads the coffee chapter from cultivation and harvest through drying, roasting, aroma, and tasting, followed by hot springs, birding, cacao, wellness, or a signature páramo experience depending on access and guest energy.

Bogotá gives the journey its capital-city depth, with private flight coordination from the Coffee Triangle and a boutique stay selected for museum access, dining, and altitude comfort. A specialist guide leads the cultural day through La Candelaria’s colonial streets, murals, cafés, and plazas before continuing into the Botero Museum and the Gold Museum, where Muisca heritage and pre-Hispanic metalwork add historical significance. Evenings are shaped around contemporary Andean cooking, craft beer, or neighbourhood dining in areas such as Chapinero, Zona G, Quinta Camacho, or Zona T.

Fly south to Leticia, where a private transfer and river journey bring you to your selected Amazon lodge. Naturalist-led boat and forest experiences are shaped around water levels, weather and wildlife activity, revealing flooded channels, immense trees, birdlife and the living ecology of the rainforest. A respectfully arranged community-hosted encounter may also be incorporated where appropriate.

Where operating conditions and guest documentation allow, an optional tri-border experience may introduce the neighbouring communities of Tabatinga in Brazil and Santa Rosa in Peru.

Return to Bogotá by scheduled flight and transfer privately to your selected stay. The final evening is intentionally light, with a farewell meal arranged around arrival time. On Day 19, your private airport transfer is coordinated around your onward flight.
